Justification by Faith

21 But now apart [a]from the Law (A)the righteousness of God has been revealed, being (B)witnessed by the [b]Law and the Prophets, 22 but it is the (C)righteousness of God through (D)faith (E)in Jesus Christ for (F)all those [c]who believe; for (G)there is no distinction, 23 for all [d](H)have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 being justified as a gift (I)by His grace through (J)the redemption which is in Christ Jesus, 25 whom God displayed publicly as (K)a [e]propitiation [f](L)in His blood through faith. But to the one who does not work, but (A)believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited as righteousness, just as David also speaks of the blessing of the person to whom God credits righteousness apart from works:

(B)Blessed are those whose lawless deeds have been forgiven,
And whose sins have been covered.
(C)Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will not (D)take into account.”

Christ Is Our Example

21 For (A)you have been called for this purpose, (B)because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you (C)an example, so that you would follow in His steps, 22 He who (D)committed no sin, nor was any deceit found in His mouth; 23 [a]and while being (E)abusively insulted, He did not insult in return; while suffering, He did not threaten, but kept entrusting Himself to Him who judges righteously; 24 and He Himself [b](F)brought our sins in His body up on the [c](G)cross, so that we (H)might die to [d]sin and live for righteousness; (I)by His [e]wounds you were (J)healed. 25 For you were (K)continually straying like sheep, but now you have returned to the (L)Shepherd and [f]Guardian of your souls.
